ABOUT ABOUT

Join the National Women’s History Museum on January 18 from the comfort of your office or home for a virtual salon. We will have presentation from our special guest, Cokie Roberts, political commentator for ABC News and NPR and the author of 6 New York Times bestsellers on women in America.

For more than two decades the National Women’s History Museum has researched, collected and exhibited the contributions of women to the social, cultural, economic and political life of our nation in the context of our collective history. While we currently create online exhibits, we envision a future where women’s history comes to life inside a physical museum of our own. We are kicking off the new year by providing exciting updates on the 1920 Society and other recent news with the Museum.

What is the 1920 Society?

We are building a national movement of philanthropists who invest $10,000 annually in the Museum. Our goal is to secure 192 members by 2020 in honor of the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment. The 1920 Society will help us bring to life a museum on Washington, DC’s National Mall – a museum where visitors of diverse backgrounds and perspectives can expand their understanding of women’s roles and leave with a more complete view of American history.

A link will be provided to join the virtual salon.
